Georgia on my mind.

I've just listened to the Georgian Prime Minister outlining how by moving to lower and flatter tax rates they have enjoyed a fourfold increase in revenues and that they are hoping to reduce their footprint from 30% of GDP to 25%.

To much to hope that George Osborne will get the message.

Its nice he can reduce tax whilst waiting for £2bn of aid money to arrive from the EU/US

You'reignoring the key point Wes. Lowering and flattening taxes has led to an increase in tax revenue, in the same way that it has in many other countries.

I'm not arguing that point, just that I dont think its right to aid a Country which seems to be doing so well (in this sense).
